How does it work?
The initial distribution of 15% of the Flare tokens was successfully completed on January 9th, 2023. The subsequent 85% will be distributed each month over a 36 month window to holders of Wrapped Flare (WFLR). During this period, each installment will be proportionally allocated to amongst holders.
When is the next distribution date?
The next distribution date can be found in Bifrost Wallet on the Flare token delegation screen. All dates for the distributions, and more information, can be found in the FIP01 reference guide.
How much will I receive?
Each monthly airdrop is calculated based on 3 random snapshots from the 23 days prior to the monthly distribution day. The 35 first instalments will be of 676 040 738 FLR and the last one will be of 584 760 888 FLR. The cumulative amount airdropped to the community, including the initial 15% will be 28 524 921 372 FLR or just over 28.5 billion FLR.
As an example, if a wallet contains an average of 0.001% of the total circulating supply of WFLR during those random snapshots, it will be eligible for 0.001% of the next distribution, which equals to 6760.4 FLR.
When do I have to claim?
Tokens that are not claimed within 67 days are burned. Some articles state that the window is 90 days, but that includes the holding calculation period of 23 days.
